My work means my credit...

What would you do if someone stole your written work and didn't give you credit? Hm mm, I would be very upset at the idea. I believe one's written work has a trademark of their own uniqueness. So stealing someone else's work and not given them the proper credit is a big no no. I think the word we can use to call this would have to be "PLAGIARISM", you heard me. When someone is writing a paper, column, or books they include some of their own ideas that popped up in their heads so therefore it would be not right to steal some one's work and not give then the credit they deserve for being the original writers. It's simple and fair don't you think so...

  1. Hi Michelle,

I agree with you that each individual adds their own "spark" to their writing. Each idea within one's work can come from another source (just as our research papers) and yet we still manage to place our unique characteristics into our writing. Nice post, Michelle. Keep up the good work :)

  2. Hi Michelle,
Before I knew what plagiarism was about I got taken away all my points, told I did it, and a report from the office if I did it again I was gonna be kicked out of class, yet I still didn't know what this word meant or even what I did. Then they finally told me after I begged and begged for a second chance and an explanation of exactly what I did wrong. So then they showed me and I was clear as to what I did wrong and never did that again. So in-text citations in APA format and also changeing the words around to mean the same thing, knowing how to do that helps a lot. But still have to be very careful.

    BTW- Good post!
